چکیده

Abstract Cost‐effective computing capabilities paved the road to use numerical modeling develop advanced methods and applications of ground‐penetrating radar (GPR). Realistic synthetic data corresponding techniques, respectively, should consider all subsurface above‐ground aspects that influence GPR wave propagation characteristics recorded signals. Critical can be realized in modern tools include heterogeneous frequency‐dependent material properties, complex structures interface geometries as well 3D antenna models, including interaction between subsurface. However, realistic noise related electronic components a system or ambient electromagnetic is often not considered simplified by assuming white Gaussian model which added modeled data. We present an approach scenarios typically observed field into flow In our approach, we extract from traces add it via convolution‐based process. illustrate methodology using exercise, where contaminate 2D dataset with urban environment. Noise-induced synchronization in realistic models.

Noise-induced synchronization is studied numerically in two realistic models--the Pikovsky-Rabinovich circuit model and the Hindmarsh-Rose neuron model. A different feature, single-variable-Jacobian matrix, is found in these two models and conditions are found by which two noncoupled identical systems can been synchronized by forcing with a common Gaussian noise term.

Radio Frequency Interference Suppression Applied to Synthetic Aperture Radar Data

This paper addresses techniques of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) suppression applied to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. These techniques could also be used to protect radio-astronomical observations from harmful interference. Of the RFI suppression techniques investigated, the notch filter and the Least Mean Squares (LMS) adaptive filter have been implemented and applied to real P-ban...

Segmentation of polarimetric synthetic aperture radar data

A statistical image model is proposed for segmenting polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data into regions of homogeneous and similar polarimetric backscatter characteristics. A model for the conditional distribution of the polarimetric complex data is combined with a Markov random field representation for the distribution of the region labels to obtain the posterior distribution. Optim...

Coherence estimation in synthetic aperture radar data based on speckle noise modeling.

In the past we proposed a multidimensional speckle noise model to which we now include systematic phase variation effects. This extension makes it possible to define what is believed to be a novel coherence model able to identify the different sources of bias when coherence is estimated on multidimensional synthetic radar aperture (SAR) data. On the one hand, low coherence biases are basically ...
