Adaptive search space decomposition method for pre- and post-buckling analyses of space truss structures

The paper proposes a novel adaptive search space decomposition method and gradient-free optimization-based formulation for the pre- post-buckling analyses of truss structures. Space trusses are often employed in structural engineering to build large steel constructions, such as bridges domes, whose response is characterized by displacements. Therefore, these structures vulnerable progressive collapses due local or global buckling effects, leading sudden failures. proposed this allows analysis load-equilibrium path permanent variable loading, including stable unstable equilibrium stages explicitly considering geometric nonlinearities. goal work determine via optimization Lagrangian kinematic parameters system, determining equilibrium. However, problem non-trivial undefined parameter domain sensitivity interaction among parameters. we propose formulate nonlinear, multimodal, unconstrained, continuous develop method, which progressively adaptively re-defines (hypersphere) evaluate system using algorithm.
