Adaptive-Hybrid Harmony Search Algorithm for Multi-Constrained Optimum Eco-Design of Reinforced Concrete Retaining Walls

In the optimum design of reinforced concrete (RC) structural members, robustness employed method is important as well solving optimization problem. some cases where algorithm parameters are defined non-effective values, local-optimum solutions may prevail over existing global results. Any metaheuristic can be effective to solve problem but must give same results for several runs. Due randomization nature these algorithms, performance vary with respect time. The essential and novel work done in this study comparative investigation 10 different algorithms two modifications harmony search (HS) on cost RC retaining walls constrained geotechnical state limits. include classical ones (genetic (GA), differential evaluation (DE), particle swarm (PSO)), proved engineering applications (harmony search, artificial bee colony, firefly algorithm), recent (teaching–learning-based (TLBO), flower pollination (FPA), grey wolf optimization, Jaya (JA)). HS adaptive (AHS) concerning automatic change hybridization AHS JA that developed investigated According numerical investigations, such TLBO, FPA, generally best at finding values less deviation than others. adaptive-hybrid proposed also competitive while it reach solution by using a lower population number which lead timesaving process. By minimization material used construction via sustainable structures support multiple types constraints provided.
