Adaptations to explosive resistance training with partial range of motion are not inferior to full range of motion

چکیده
We tested whether explosive resistance training with partial range of motion (ROM) would be as effective full ROM using a noninferiority trial design. Fifteen subjects strength experience took part in an explosive—concentric only—leg press program, three times per week for 10 weeks. One leg was randomly assigned to exercise (ie, 9º) and the other ROM. Before after training, we assessed performance, isokinetic concentric isometric knee extension torque, vastus lateralis muscle architecture. Overall, both modalities increased maximal rate force development. Training yielded noninferior results compared peak power (+69 ± 47% vs. +61 64%), (4-6 6%-12% 1-6 6%-10% at 30, 60, 180?s-1), torque 100 (47 24 35 22) 150 ms (57 22% 42 25%). The comparison inconclusive functional parameters (300?s?1), joint angle 50 ms, electrically evoked torque) fascicle length thickness, although established pennation angle. However, not found statistically inferior any measured variable. Under present conditions, effects heavy were independent Instead, these data suggest that distinct timing work contractions confers more influence starting than on adaptations this type training.

Range of motion, neuromechanical, and architectural adaptations to plantar flexor stretch training in humans.
The neuromuscular adaptations in response to muscle stretch training have not been clearly described. In the present study, changes in muscle (at fascicular and whole muscle levels) and tendon mechanics, muscle activity, and spinal motoneuron excitability were examined during standardized plantar flexor stretches after 3 wk of twice daily stretch training (4 × 30 s). No changes were observed in...

Objectives: Changes in the Range of Motion (ROM) are essential criteria in determining the severity of spinal disorders and could be effective in predicting pain progression. Instruments to measure the ROM are costly and unavailable in most therapy settings. While there is a tendency in therapists to use their smartphones instead, there is no report to measure the suitability of smartphones to ...
