چکیده
Background. Craniopharyngiomas are benign epithelial tumors. According to embryogenetic theory, these neoplasms develop from the remains of cells Rathke’s pouch, which connects cavities primary oral tube with pituitary gland in embryonic period. The metaplastic theory assumes occurrence craniopharyngiomas as a result metaplasia chiasmal-sellar region. Objective. To present clinical case ectopic adamantium-like craniopharyngioma right cerebellopontine angle associated Gardner’s syndrome. Design and methods. analysis SCT, MRI, histological, histochemical other special studies, well data four similar observations published literature, was carried out. Results. We describe rare syndrome (familial adenomatous polyposis, multiple skull osteomas soft tissue tumors) diagnosed 27-year-old patient. It is noted, while inexplicable, correlation patients region angle. Conclusions. In adamantine-like craniopharyngiomas, including collection family history studies exclude intestinal polyposis Gardner complex treatment diagnostics id highly recommended.

Early Ectopic Recurrence of Craniopharyngioma in the Cerebellopontine Angle.
Ectopic recurrence of craniopharyngioma in the cerebellopontine angle after surgical resection of a suprasellar craniopharyngioma is rare. Thus, only 5 cases were reported with a delay ranging between 4 and 26 years after removal of the primary tumor. We report a unique case of ectopic recurrence of craniopharyngioma in the cerebellopontine angle, which occurred at only 4 months after surgical ...
متن کاملMolecular and cellular pathogenesis of adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma
Adamantinomatous craniopharyngiomas (ACPs) are the most common pituitary tumours in children. Although histologically benign, these are clinically aggressive tumours, difficult to manage and associated with poor quality of life for the patients. Several human and mouse studies have provided unequivocal evidence that the over-activation of the WNT/β-catenin signalling pathway underlies the molec...

Introduction: To report our experience with a large series of surgical procedures for removal of cerebellopontine angle (CPA) tumors using different approaches. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of 50 patients (mean age, 49 years) with CPA tumors (predominantly acoustic neuroma) who underwent surgical removal using appropriate techniques (principally a translabyrinthine...

An extremely rare case of a right cerebellopontine angle medulloblastoma in a five year old Malay girl which had eroded into the petrous bone and extended into the temporal fossa is reported. Combined subtemporal and retromastoid approach to achieve gross total surgical resection was achieved followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Cavernous hemangioma, also known as cavernous angioma, accounts for 10-20% of vascular malformations.1,2 Extra-axial lesions are rare. Most tumors are found in the sinuses, Meckel’s cavity, posterior fossa, including the cerebellarpontine angle and internal auditory meatus.3 This paper reports the clinical case of a patient with cavernous hemangioma involving the internal auditory meatus whose ...
