چکیده
Aedes albopictus (Skuse) is a widespread mosquito, vector of important human arboviruses, including Chikungunya, Dengue and Zika. It an extremely difficult species to control even for the onset resistances chemicals insecticides, therefore ecofriendly products are urgently needed. In this study, activity Amaryllidaceae alkaloids some their semisynthetic derivatives, 2-methoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone two analogues, cyclopaldic acid epi-epoformin on survival development Ae. larvae was evaluated. First-instar larval exposure 24 48 h acid, resulted in mortality mean per-centage 82.4 96.9 respectively; 1,2-O,O-diacetyllycorine 48h post-treatment caused 84.7% mortality. Larval pupal duration were proved decrease significantly when exposed N-methyllycorine iodide. The number third-instar surviving 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone, 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone lower than correspondent over time. This study indicated that 1,2-O,O’-diacetyllycorine, iodide, 1,4-naphthoquinone structural derivatives have good potential developing bioinsecticides mosquito programs. obtained results general interest due global importance seri-ous diseases such able spread.

The Efficacy of Some Commercially Available Insect Repellents for Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae) and Aedes albopictus (Diptera: Culicidae)
Reducing the number of host-vector interactions is an effective way to reduce the spread of vector-borne diseases. Repellents are widely used to protect humans from a variety of protozoans, viruses, and nematodes. DEET (N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide), a safe and effective repellent, was developed during World War II. Fear of possible side effects of DEET has created a large market for "natural" DE...

In 2003 the invasive Asian tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus arrived in Southern Switzerland for the first time. It has since then been continuously surveyed and controlled using ovitraps for monitoring alongside targeted applications of larvicides (Bti and diflubenzuron) and larval source reduction. Until recently the focus of activities was on surveillance and control in the Canton of Ticino (...
متن کاملLarvicidal Efficacy of Different Plant Parts of Railway Creeper, Ipomoea cairica Extract Against Dengue Vector Mosquitoes, Aedes albopictus (Diptera: Culicidae) and Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae)
Natural insecticides from plant origin against mosquito vectors have been the main concern for research due to their high level of eco-safety. Control of mosquitoes in their larval stages are an ideal method since Aedes larvae are aquatic, thus it is easier to deal with them in this habitat. The present study was specifically conducted to explore the larvicidal efficacy of different plant parts...

Aedes albopictus (Skuse) and Ae. japonicus (Theobald) are important container-inhabiting mosquitoes that transmit disease agents, outcompete native species, and continue to expand their range in the United States. Both species deposit eggs in natural and artificial containers and thrive in peridomestic environments. The goal of our study was to examine the types and characteristics of container...

During the rainy season of 2001, the incidence of the dengue vectors Aedes aegypti and Ae. albopictus was examined in different habitats of two cities (Rio de Janeiro and Nova Iguaçu) in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, and in two cities (Palm Beach and Boca Raton) in Florida. Oviposition trap collections were performed in urban, suburban, and rural habitats in both areas. Our hypothesis that the ...
