چکیده
Lower limb paralysis often leads to depreciation in mobility of the affected individuals. Computer-controlled leg brace systems open up new possibilities for these patients, by improving safety tasks everyday life, especially when walking on uneven terrain, inclined surfaces, steps and stairs. This article introduces such a system. To investigate use device functionalities patient's environment, knee joint was configured store data various sensors, measuring motion with high temporal resolution over several weeks home use. Results from clinical trial including 8 patients different pathologies show that system used more than 10 hours per day average, taking 2,100 day. Maximum time 20.24 12,609 An implemented yielding function support down slopes or stairs all patients. can also catch user case stumbling, which average happened 3 times Seven out eight reported improvements quality many activities daily life using novel system, compared their previous device.
