A poorly defined boundary between the Nubia and Eurasian plates runs along Northern Tunisian continental margin. The Tunisia margin is deformed by a slow NW–SE trending convergence resulting in diffuse deformation zone with scarce scattered seismicity compared to seismic activity into neighboring regions east west boundary. area has been studied therefore its recent evolution almost unknown, particularly offshore. Here, we present structural analysis of active tectonics this submarine data used for are high-resolution bathymetric maps together parametric echosounder images which have allowed obtain map faulting unprecedented detail. supports dominantly transpressive compressive component faulting, from current regional regime plates. North-eastern Domain study region contains highest number faults numerous pockmarks aligned them. This shows that plate across North incipient developed, may be due fact partitioned over large structures, each accommodating small percentage convergence, exception Hayat fault system. reverse fault, striking WSW–ENE, largest system comparatively accommodate greater amount displacement, probably responsible uplift
