چکیده
The increasing installation of controllable Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in Distribution Networks (DNs) opens up new opportunities for the provision ancillary services to Transmission Network (TN) level. As penetration smart meter devices and communication infrastructure DNs increases, they become more observable with centralized optimization-based control schemes becoming efficient practical. In this paper, we propose a tractable Optimal Power Flow (OPF)-based scheme that optimizes real-time operation active DNs, while also considering voltage support as an service TN. We embed form various constraints current requirements Switzerland investigate potential benefit assuming different operational modes DER inverters. demonstrate performance proposed using combined HV-MV-LV test system.

Providing a protection method to support distributed generation against transient voltage instability
The analysis of transient stability in electric power systems and the penetration coefficient of scattered productions play important roles in the regulation of protective equipment, so these parameters should be considered two main factors in the electrical protection of power networks. Overcurrent relays are used as one of the simplest and most effective solutions for power system protection....

One of the most important objectives of smart distribution networks (SDNs) is to achieve a secure and reliable network. This can be realized by optimal operation in the presence of active power sources such as the distributed generations (DGs), reactive power sources such as switched capacitor bank (SCB), active loads such as the demand response program (DRP), and various network management str...
متن کاملDynamic Grid Support in Low Voltage Grids – Fault Ride-Through and Reactive Power/Voltage Support during Grid Disturbances
Faults in medium and high voltage grids lead to voltage sags in the low voltage level. Due to the voltage dip, distributed generators disconnect from the low voltage grid. Depending on the amount of disconnected generation, system stability could be compromised. With a dynamic grid support, distributed generators remain connected to the grid during faults, also called fault ride-through. Moreov...
