The palladium-catalyzed trifluoromethylation of aryl chlorides.
The trifluoromethyl group can dramatically influence the properties of organic molecules, thereby increasing their applicability as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, or building blocks for organic materials. Despite the importance of this substituent, no general method exists for its installment onto functionalized aromatic substrates. Current methods either require the use of harsh reaction cond...
متن کاملGorlos-Phos for palladium-catalyzed borylation of aryl chlorides.
Using a readily available form of the mono-phosphine ligand, Gorlos-Phos·HBF4, Pd-catalyzed borylation of aryl chlorides afforded aryl boronates in high yields. A variety of functional groups are well compatible with this palladium catalyzed borylation reaction.
متن کاملIntramolecular palladium-catalyzed alkane C-H arylation from aryl chlorides.
The first examples of efficient and general palladium-catalyzed intramolecular C(sp(3))-H arylation of (hetero)aryl chlorides, giving rise to a variety of valuable cyclobutarenes, indanes, indolines, dihydrobenzofurans, and indanones, are described. The use of aryl and heteroaryl chlorides significantly improves the scope of C(sp(3))-H arylation by facilitating the preparation of reaction subst...
متن کاملPalladium catalyzed diaryl sulfoxide generation from aryl benzyl sulfoxides and aryl chlorides.
Diaryl sulfoxides are synthesized from aryl benzyl sulfoxides and aryl chlorides via three sequential catalytic cycles all promoted by a NiXantPhos-based palladium catalyst. The key step is S-arylation of a sulfenate anion. An air- and moisture-stable precatalyst derived from NiXantPhos efficiently facilitates the transformation. Various functional groups, including those with acidic protons, w...
متن کاملEfficient palladium-catalyzed N-arylation of a sulfoximine with aryl chlorides.
The efficient N-arylation of a sulfoximine with aryl chlorides was developed by using Pd(2)(dba)(3) as a catalyst and various ligands. The reactions using RuPhos as a ligand afforded the coupled products in fair to excellent yields.
