Textile supercapacitors are a key enabler of future, wireless, textile based smart wearables. With high power densities and long cycle lives, can be readily paired with energy harvesters to the wearable technology. However, density these devices remains low (of order ?Wh) work increase this through improvements in electrode design requiring ever more complex materials manufacturing processes. This presents novel safe organic electrolyte that simple symmetric activated carbon supercapacitor by ?8 times when compared previous utilizing an identical substrate set electrodes. capacitance 34.0 mF.cm?2 18.9 ?Wh.cm?2, device showed excellent performance.
