Accurate Peer-to-Peer Hierarchical Control Method for Hybrid DC Microgrid Clusters

Hybrid DC microgrid clusters contain various types of converters such as BOOST, BUCK, and bidirectional DC/DC converters, making the control strategy complex difficult to achieve plug-and-play. The common master–slave hierarchical makes it accurate stable system control. This paper proposes an peer-to-peer method for hybrid cluster, working principle this is analyzed in detail. cluster consists three sub-microgrids, where sub-microgrid A BUCK B BOOST C two converters. According all possible operations sub-microgrids top-, mid-, bottom-level controls are designed solve coordination problem among different sub-microgrids. In paper, a simulation model built PLECS environment, experimental hardware platform designed. experiment results verified accuracy proposed its fast plug-and-play regulation ability system.
