Accurate equation of state of rhenium as pressure scale up to 130 GPa and 3200 K

The equations of states (EOSs) inert metals are generally used as pressure scales in a high-pressure experiment. However, the thermodynamic model and method to constrain parameters EOSs these may cause deviations up 7% at 100 GPa room temperature, even higher pressures temperatures. In this study, we provide new approach for obtaining accurate EOS metals. First, use set models, within quasi-Debye framework, describe thermodynamics. Second, both volume vs data from shock compression experiment sound velocity static formula. fitting process, weighted least-square based on uncertainty is used. calculated Grüneisen parameter shows strong dependence not only but also temperature. variation Re can increase by per 103 K under same volume, which means previous temperature-independent approximation an underestimate high pressure–volume–temperature 140 3200 established, be high-temperature gauge future.
