چکیده

This paper presents accurate empirical path loss models with route classification for the high band frequency of 5 G wireless. Propagation routes are mainly classified into line sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS). The NLOS 2 separate routes, namely, Hard_NLOS Soft_NLOS. Their include free-space (Lfs) multiscreen diffraction (Lmsd) together reflection from building blocks. However, these can be combined a single formula. were fitted measured data at frequencies 28 GHz 73 GHz. These compared four 5G models, namely 5GCM, 3GPP, METIS, mmMAGIC. results show that separated provide good agreement, especially hard those minimum MAE 4.45 dB, 4.34 6.72 dB route, soft an all-NLOS respectively, dual-band frequency.

A Modified Empirical Path Loss Model for 4G LTE Network in Lagos, Nigeria

The quality of signal at a particular location is essential to determine the performance of mobile system. The problem of poor network in Lagos, Nigeria needs to be addressed especially now that the attention is toward online learning and meetings. Existing empirical Path Loss (PL) models designed elsewhere are not appropriate for predicting the 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) signal in Nigeria. T...

Accurate Determination of GPS Receiver with Different Classification Methods

One of the instruments for determination of position used in several applications is the Global Positioning System (GPS). With a cheap GPS receiver, we can easily find the approximate position of an object. Accuracy estimation depends on some parameters such as dilution of precision, atmospheric error, receiver noise, and multipath. In this study, position accuracy with GPS receiver is classifi...

Experimental Path Loss Models for In-Body Communications Within 2.36-2.5 GHz

Biomedical implantable sensors transmitting a variety of physiological signals have been proven very useful in the management of chronic diseases. Currently, the vast majority of these in-body wireless sensors communicate in frequencies below 1 GHz. Although the radio propagation losses through biological tissues may be lower in such frequencies, e.g., the medical implant communication services...

Multicast Transmissions in Directional mmWave Communications

Multicast transmissions have been widely analyzed in traditional networks as a way to improve spectrum efficiency when multiple users are interested in the same data. However, their application to mmWave communications has been studied only marginally so far. The goal of this paper is to partially fill this gap by investigating optimal and suboptimal multicast schemes for mmWave communications ...

Empirical Path Loss Models for GSM Network Deployment in Makurdi, Nigeria

Radio propagation prediction is one of the fundamentals of radio network planning. It is therefore vital that the propagation prediction models are as accurate as possible; taking into account the practical limitations that characterized the propagation environment. In this paper, the performance of Okumura – Hata Model, COST 231 – Hata Model, Standard Propagation Model and Stanford University ...
