Accessibility in tourist sites in Spain: Does it really matter when choosing a destination?

This work aims to analyse and characterise accessibility in tourism —defined as the conditions for people with access needs— its relationship performance. Accessibility is a critical concept —to be defined measured rigorous way— that helps shed light on particularities of phenomena, considering consumers producers tourism. Spain's solid background accessible portrays possibility elaborating different indicators. We propose identify an exhaustive set proxy measures under theoretical framework travel chain. also computed index using disaggregated data 152 Spanish tourist sites (National Statistics Institute Spain), introducing those explanatory variables model performance sun cultural destinations. Our results show seems not determinant sites' Sun destinations have better performances than ones, having or conditions. The findings only reveal need improve consolidate destinations, but disseminate deepen information channels, especially needs, before choosing destination.
