Academic librarians: Their understanding and use of emotional intelligence and happiness

The purpose of this mixed-methods study was to understand the interrelations between emotional intelligence and happiness through an exploration academic librarians. researchers' premise that librarians who rated themselves as more competent in dimension would also rate highly satisfaction with life. Results from show self-reported levels competence are within average range, however, they struggled apply skills when asked demonstrate examples. Limitations discussed reference survey data, timing, respondents' understanding concerns around bias. Implications for practice future research presented.
