Food production and global economic stability are being threatened by climate change. The increment of drought episodes the increase soil salinization major problems for agriculture worldwide. Chenopodium quinoa (quinoa), as a resilient crop, is capable growth in harsh environments due to its versatility adaptive capacity. Quinoa classified an extremophile tolerant salinity, low temperature. Furthermore, recognized pseudo-cereal with outstanding nutritional properties. phytohormone ABA key regulator physiological responses salinity drought, among others stressful conditions. In this article we want revise recent discoveries regarding perception signaling quinoa, evaluate implications on stress-tolerance breeding pseudocereal other crops.
