Abrasive wear of nanostructured cermet coatings in dry and slurry conditions

چکیده
Abrasive wear behaviour of WC-Co and Fe/Cu-based nanostructured coatings has been investigated under dry slurry conditions in this study. The retention coating constituents was confirmed together with the formation various metallic ceramic phases. rate one order lower than that micro-structured both conditions. Relatively higher abrasion resistance such compare to reference material because comparatively smaller debris formation. These roll between moving surfaces thus limit materials. Another aspect abrasive is homogeneous distribution hard (WC Al2O3) particles within relatively soft matrix (Co FeCu) as revealed by SEM investigation.

Partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ) has been proven to be an excellent candidate as a thermal barrier coating (TBe) for hot sections in, for instance, heat or internal combustion engines and gas turbine parts. The main functions of these coatings are reducing heat losses, reducing fuel consumption, increasing efficiency, and extending durability and life. One of the main problems involved is we...
متن کاملCharacterization of the Micro-Abrasive Wear in Coatings of TaC-HfC/Au for Biomedical Implants
The object of this work was the deposition of a Ta-Hf-C thin film with a gold interlayer on stainless steel, via the physical vapor deposition (PVD) technique, in order to evaluate the properties of different systems subjected to micro-abrasive wear phenomena generated by alumina particles in Ringer's solution. The surface characterization was performed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM...
متن کاملEffect of WC Concentration on Abrasive Wear Properties of the Thermally Sprayed WC -Ni Coatings
In this work the effects of WC concentration on abrasive wear behavior by thermally sprayed WC coating was evaluated using three body abrasive wear tester. A different combination of WC and NI coatings were deposited on steel substrates by flame spraying using powder with different WC concentrations (0 %, 12.5 %, 25 %, and 50 %). Flame torch was used for heating and coating of process. Microstr...
متن کاملModelling Friction and Abrasive Wear of Elastomers
In order to properly model the friction and wear of elastomer materials, it is essential to understand some specific mechanical and tribological features. Mechanical characteristics of elastomer materials are different from those of metals and other relatively hard materials. Elastomers can bear large deformations, the stress-strain curves are non-linear, time and temperature dependent. When th...
