چکیده
Objective To assess the predictive value of abdominal circumference growth velocity (ACGV) between second and third trimesters to predict adverse perinatal outcomes in a cohort small-for-gestational-age fetuses without evidence placental insufficiency (i.e. fetal restriction).

Comparative Assessment of Ultrasound Placental Findings in Small for Gestational Age and Normal-Weight Fetuses
Background Small for gestational age (SGA) refers to newborns whose birth weight is less than the 10th percentile for gestational age. The aim of this study was to provide a comparative assessment of ultrasound placental findings in SGA and normal-weight fetuses in singleton pregnant women. Materials and Methods In...
متن کاملUmbilical artery Doppler indices in small for gestational age fetuses: correlation with adverse outcomes and placental abnormalities.
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to compare the screening efficiency of the umbilical artery systolic to diastolic ratio (S/D), pulsatility index (PI), and absent end-diastolic flow (AEDF) for adverse pregnancy outcomes and placental abnormalities in small for gestational age (SGA) fetuses. METHODS We conducted a retrospective cohort study of Doppler examinations of 161 nonanomalous SG...
متن کاملComparative Study of Cord Lipid Profile in Small for Gestational Age and Appropriate for Gestational Age Newborn
Background: This study was conducted to compare the cord blood lipid profile in term small for gestation (SGA) and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) babies as determination of cord blood lipid profile is useful screening tool for early detection of babies at higher risk as atherosclerosis has its genesis in childhood. Methods: Study Design: Hospital based cross sectional study. Setting: ne...
متن کاملParturient abdominal circumference as a predictor of low birthweight.
The usefulness of parturient abdominal circumference as a predictor of low birthweight (LBW) was studied in 151 singleton pregnancies. The abdominal circumference was measured in early labour and was plotted against the birthweight of the newborns. A significant positive correlation was observed between the two parameters (r = +0.507). For the prediction of LBW, the critical limit of the abdomi...
متن کاملAlanine aminotransferase as a predictor of adverse perinatal outcomes in women with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the associations between adverse perinatal outcomes and serum transaminase levels at the time of diagnosis in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. METHODS We performed a retrospective analysis of patients hospitalized for evaluation of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy from January 2013 to June 2014 in a tertiary center. Seventy-one patients were divi...
