چکیده

Background It is known that patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are characterized a variability of traditional non-traditional cardiovascular risk factors for the early development arthrosclerosis. The results numerous studies, examining significance these atherosclerosis in autoimmune rheumatic disease (ARD), contradictory. Additionally prevalence was compared between ARD healthy persons. There few data about comparison patient SLE, RA ischemic heart (IHD). Objectives aim our study to determine frequency occurrence SLE IHD assess their role atherosclerosis. Methods included 85 female (SLE (n=40), mean age 33,5 (27,5; 44,5) years old, duration 8,0 (5,0; 14,5) years, activity SLEDAI-2K 7,0 (4,0; 11,5) points (n=45), 43,0 (33,0; 52,0) 9,0 13,0) (DAS28=5,37 (4,69;5,89) points. Fifty four women same formed first control group (CG1), 22 (mean 50,0 (48,0; 51,0) old) made second (CG2). presence (age, arterial hypertension (AH), smoking, obesity, dyslipidemia, low physical activity, family history (CVD)) (menopause, hyperhomocysteinemia (HHC)) assessed. confirmed help common carotid artery sonography according standard procedures. Results found only AH HHC were more CG1 (AH: 65% vs. 0% (р<0,0001), HHC: 45% 9% respectively 27% 36% (р=0,001), patients). Age, CVD, menopause similar both groups CG1. revealed 14 younger (р<0,0001) than IHD. They had less often CVD (18% 41%, р=0,044), but 2 times (45% 22%, р=0,031) CG2. Patients 8 (р=0,007). Moreover AH, CG2 (27% 73% (р=0,0003), 40% 68% (р=0,030), 71% 95% (р=0,025), 11% 41% (р=0,005), respectively). detected 1,5 IHD, without statistically difference (36% p=0,288). Other subclinical observed 54% ARD. Comparative analysis investigated those has shown highest (54% p=0,014), what could be as result inflammation this patients. Conclusion Thus, we high (as factor) RA. More half may associated References [1]K. Tselios et al. J. Rheumatol. 2016; 43 (1): 54–65. [2]M. F. Piepoli Eur. Heart 37 2315–81. Anticardiolipin Antibodies in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Background: Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) can either occur as a primary syndrome or associated with other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) of IgG and/or IgM isotype in blood, measured by a standardized ELISA is the most acceptable laboratory criteria. APS IgG isotype, particularly IgG2 subclass is more strongly associated ...

Relationship of plasma interleukin-18 concentrations to traditional and non-traditional cardiovascular risk factors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.

OBJECTIVES Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is associated with premature atherosclerosis. Recent studies indicated that the concentrations of circulating interleukin (IL)-18, a novel proinflammatory T helper-1 cytokine, in SLE patients were significantly higher than those in healthy control subjects. The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between IL-18 and cardiovascular ...

Cardiovascular Disease in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: The Role of Traditional and Lupus Related Risk Factors

Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by immune cell activation, inflammation driven plaque formation and subsequent destabilization. In other disorders of an inflammatory nature, the chronic inflammatory state per se has been linked to acceleration of the atherosclerotic process which is underlined by an increased incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in disorder...

Subclinical atherosclerosis in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are associated with increased mortality, largely as a consequence of cardiovascular disease. Increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients with RA and SLE cannot be entirely explained by traditional risk factors, suggesting that the systemic inflammation that characterizes these diseases may accelerate atheroscleros...

Traditional cardiovascular risk factors in a cohort of juvenile-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (J-SLE)

Results 14 J-SLE female patients were included, with disease onset between 6 and 16 years of age (mean 11,9 years), and mean disease duration of 6,5 years (2-15 years). Five patients had systemic hypertension (4 of them with renal disease), none smoked. 3 patients were overweight (1 with dysplidemia), 11 had normal weight. Total cholesterol>200 mg/dL in 3 patients, low-density lipoprotein chole...
