Multiple autoimmune syndrome with celiac disease
Multiple autoimmune syndrome (MAS) is a condition characterised by three or more autoimmune disorders in a same individual. Familial, immunologic and infectious factors are implicated in the development of MAS. Here we report a case of a 32-year-old woman with co-existence of four auto-immune diseases, namely autoimmune hypothyroidism, Sjögren's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and ...
متن کاملMultiple Autoimmune Syndrome with Vitiligo, Autoimmune Thrombocytopenia and Autoimmune Dermoepidermal Bullous Dermatosis
In this observation, we describe a combination of three autoimmune diseases in the same patient namely vitiligo evolving since childhood, autoimmune dermo epidermal bullous dermatosis and autoimmune thrombocytopenia. The discovery of such associations may limit the therapeutic arsenal. And temporal sequence indicates that long-term surveillance of these patients is necessary to watch the occurr...

Long-term autoimmune sequelae of DHS have been reported, including hypothyroidism. OBSERVATIONS A 15-year-old female adolescent developed DHS 4 weeks after starting minoc...
متن کاملDrug-Induced Bullous Sweet Syndrome with Multiple Autoimmune Features
Sweet syndrome (SS) (Acute Febrile Neutrophilic Dermatosis) has been reported in association with autoimmune phenomena including relapsing polychondritis, drug-induced lupus, and the development of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCAs). However, a combination of these autoimmune features has not been reported. Herein, we report a case of drug-induced bullous SS with ocular and mucosal i...

The occurrence of three or more autoimmune disorders in one patient defines multiple autoimmune syndrome. The pathogenesis of multiple autoimmune syndrome is not known yet and environmental triggers and genetic susceptibility have been suggested to be involved. Herein, we report a 47-year-old woman who had Hashimoto's thyroiditis, vitiligo and newly diagnosed ulcerative colitis. Diagnosis of ul...
