چکیده
Background The antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is defined by the development of vascular thrombosis, or pregnancy morbidity in presence persistent antibodies (APL). Antinuclear (ANA) can be detected primary APS patients without any clinical systemic autoimmune disease. ANA could confer a specific phenotype APS. Objectives To evaluate characteristics with antinuclear other disease (ANA-positive patients) comparison (ANA-negative APS) secondary associated lupus erythematosus (SLE-APS). Methods Clinical and biologic data from 195 were retrospectively collected. test was considered to positive when titers superior egal 1/80 dilution. ANA-positive did not fulfilled SLE ACR/EULAR classification criteria. Results 40 (21%) included, 77 (39%) autoantibodies 78 (40%) SLE-associated Patients presented arterial thrombosis 20 cases (51%) venous f 14 (41%), adverse obstetrical 19 (51%), non-criteria features noted (51%). had more non criteria manifestations than ANA-negative (48% versus 25%; p=0.01). triple APL positivity recurrences patients, respectively (59% 18%; p<0.001) (63% 36%; p<0.01). SLE-APS similar recurrences. Despite limited follow-up (28 months (11-50)) none develop SLE. Antiplatelet anticoagulant therapies for three groups. received immunomodulatory therapies. Conclusion enables individualize subset severe phenotype. Whereas does seem risk SLE, prospective studies longer are necessary, particular effect additional this Disclosure Interests None declared

Clinical significance of different antiphospholipid antibodies in the WAPS (warfarin in the antiphospholipid syndrome) study.
To assess the clinical significance of lupus anticoagulants (LAs) and antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs) toward thrombosis and abortions, we measured them in 112 patients whose samples were available at enrollment in the warfarin in the antiphospholipid syndrome (WAPS) study. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and coagulation test values in the highest and lowest tertiles were compared. ...
متن کاملAntiprothrombin antibodies: detection and clinical significance in the antiphospholipid syndrome.
ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID antibodies have been associated with a variety of clinical phenomena, including arterial and venous thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, and obstetric complications. The term ‘‘antiphospholipid syndrome’’1 is used to link a variety of thromboembolic events to antibodies against specific proteins involved in blood coagulation. Thrombotic events are reported in approximately 30% of pati...
متن کاملExperimental and clinical significance of antinuclear antibodies in liver transplantation.
Histone H1 and high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) proteins are known to initiate an immune reaction, and the corresponding antibodies (Abs) possess immunosuppressive activity. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the immunological role of antinuclear Abs in experimental and clinical liver transplantation. In a rat tolerogenic orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) model, antihistone H1 and...
متن کاملClinical and laboratory evaluation of patients with primary antiphospholipid syndrome according to the frequency of antinuclear antibodies (ANA Hep-2).
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the frequency of clinical and laboratory manifestations in patients with primary antiphospholipid syndrome (PAPS) with positive antinuclear antibodies (ANA Hep-2+) compared to those in whom this antibody is negative (ANA Hep-2-). PATIENTS AND METHODS This is a transversal study with 58 patients (82.8% females) with PAPS. Demographic and clinical data, comorbidities, medi...
