چکیده

Background: SLE is an autoimmune disease (AID) of unknown origin. Several factors can contribute to immune dysfunction in SLE. Interleukin 9 (IL9) a newly emerging T cell-derived factor preferentially expressed by CD4+T cells: helper (Th9) IL9 targets different cell lineages, and the development allergic & AIDs Whether abnormal expression secretion are present patients (pts) still unidentified. It also unclear whether exerts main proinflammatory or anti-inflammatory activities T1DM characterized inflammation pancreatic islets Langerhans. Insulitis progresses over time β cells become destroyed then clinical DM established. regarded as cell-driven AID Objectives: Evaluation CD4+ IL9+ level pts compared both healthy subjects with another AID: T1DM.Also, evaluate correlation these expressions features, laboratory parameters activity Methods: The study included: Group I 25 fulfilling SLICC classification criteria divided into 2 subgroups (gps) according index (SLEDAI) IA: 20 mild moderate (<12) IB:5 severe (>12) recruited from rheumatology clinic internal medicine ward (Rheumatology unit), Main University Hospital, Alexandria. Influence of 1 Alpha, 25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 on T Helper 17 Cells and Related Cytokines in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease. Emerging data suggests that T helper 17 (Th17) cells play a pathogenic role in SLE and the increased number of these cells correlates with disease activity. In recent years, 1α, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25VitD3) has been considered as an immunomodulatory factor. Objective: To investigate the effect of 1,25VitD3...

Cytokines (IL-17, IL-23, and IL-33) in Systemic lupus erythematosus in Trinidad and Tobago.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the most common autoimmune disease. It is characterized by the presence of hundreds of autoantibodies against many organs and tissues, including the presence of a large number of autoantibodies, which are specific to self-antigens mainly of nuclear origin such as Smith antigen, double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), anti-Sjögren’s syndrome-related antigen A and B (SS...

Cytokines and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease characterized by the production of numerous autoantibodies that typically involves multiple organ systems. As opposed to lupus in animal models, SLE in humans is heterogeneous and affects different individuals with a wide range of disease courses and manifestations. The pathogenesis is still unclear, a myriad of innate and a...
