چکیده

Background Spondyloarthritis (SpA) associated with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) is a subtype of SpA affecting the axial spine (AxSpA) and peripheral musculoskeletal system causing arthritis, enthesitis dactylitis (peripheral SpA) in patients Crohn’s Disease (CD) or Ulcerative Colitis (UC). The prevalence IBD variable but reported to range from 5-15% for 30-45% SpA. Detection requires multidisciplinary approach ensure early diagnosis tailored treatment. This highlights need combined assessment by rheumatology gastroenterology prevent disability loss function. Objectives We aimed assess evaluated arthralgia clinic (IB-DART), large tertiary care center New York City. Methods conducted retrospective chart review who were physicians both specialties IB-DART clinic. Patients over age 21 symptoms joint pain included. A was taken Prevalence SpA, HLA B27 positivity calculated. Descriptive statistics used. Results 63 (61.9% females) seen clinic, average 48.5. There 10 (15.8%) non-inflammatory arthritis 53 (84.1%) Of patients, 7 (13.2%) had AxSpA, 32 (60.3%) 14 (26.4%) 90.9% 44 CD 68.7% 16 UC 66.6% 3 undifferentiated patients. 9 (42.8%) AxSpA found have x-ray MRI evidence sacroiliitis. 1 findings enthesitis. only positive 39 tested did not correlate involvement.
