AACE2021-A-1081: Prevalence and Risk Factors for Urinary Incontinence Among Women with Diabetes in Taif City, Saudi Arabia

Urinary incontinence is a detected complication of diabetes mellitus. Studies about UI among diabetic women in Saudi Arabia are limited. The aim this study was to assess the prevalence with Taif city, and determine its risk factors. A cross-sectional done on 398 who attended clinic at Prince Mansour Military Hospital, Arabia. checklist used gathering data socio-demographic characteristics, type duration diabetes, chronic diseases, parity, BMI, presence neuropathy, retinopathy nephropathy, level HbA1c fasting blood glucose (FBG). 34%. In last four weeks, 48.9%, 25.9%, 6,7%, 12.6% 34.1% studied had frequent urination, urine leakage drops, difficulty urinating or emptying, pain discomfort lower abdomen, related urgency, physical activity, respectively. Among them, 11.1%, 11.9%, 12,6%. 19.3%, 15.6%, 20.7% suffered effects ability do household chores, recreation, entertaining activities, travel car bus more than 30 minutes, participation social activities outside, emotional health, feeling frustrated, Participants an age ≥ 50 year, having DM 2, UTI, Ovarian cyst, neuropathy higher levels HbA1 FBG, significantly percentage those UI. Participants’ older high were independent predictors for There need educating methods management.
