A user-centred virtual city information model for inclusive community design: State-of-art

چکیده
The concept of community design has evolved with the advancement technology. City information models (CIM), urban digital twin (UDT), and proliferation communication technologies have transformed way society operates led to modernisation traditional methods inclusive decision-makings. However, creating a CIM that effectively aligns diverse interests capabilities (non-expert) users like local inhabitants for active participation can be challenging. In this study, we aim develop virtual explore immersive behaviours in context policy decision-making. To do this, use combination multi-objective programming mixed-media prototyping create CIM, which includes LOD 300 spatial representation, what-if scenario implementation, geo-tagging feedback, easy exploration by stakeholders. was tested real-life exercise Netherlands, Blue Zone Malvalaan, two phases both expert non-expert We evaluated user experience through quantitative qualitative data analysis, focusing on ease-of-use, usefulness, immersion, mental physical comfort, satisfaction. Our research shows how help stakeholders contribute optimisation strengthen decision-making outcomes.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Editorial: User centred design and implementation of virtual environments
Traditionally, the development of virtual environments has been limited to particular technologies and the associated constraints on environment definition and interaction. However, with advances in both graphics hardware/software and the availability of new input/output devices, many of the restrictions on virtual environment development have been removed [10]. Rendering rates are now reaching...
متن کاملThe Role of User-Centred Design Within Online Community Development
Research has evidenced the benefits of using information and communications technology (ICT) in chronic disease management including improving information availability, communication methods and raising individual patient's self-awareness of their own conditions. Extending ICT use to support patients in the community through online services draws attention to the complex task of how to meaningf...
متن کاملA Method-Independent Process Model of User-Centred Design
We propose a method-independent process model of user-centred design (UCD). It is based on recognised sources and its structure was developed in a set of assessments in industrial settings. The result is a process model that identifies six main processes of UCD. Each of these is defined through a set of outcomes. The model makes tangible the interface between the usability engineering and desig...
متن کاملSimulating 'Lived' User Experience - Virtual Immersion and Inclusive Design
This paper explores the theories and practices underpinning Virtual Immersion, a discount technique proposed to help designers gain deep understanding of, and empathise with, their users. Four essential elements to this technique are identified and empirical evidence for its usefulness is provided. A study is reported in which the technique was applied to establishing design requirements for a ...
