A Systematic Electrochemical Investigation of a Dimethylamine Cosolvent-Assisted Nonaqueous Zinc(II) Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide Electrolyte

چکیده

The development of the multivalent electrolytes is a critical component to advance polyvalent energy storage technology. In this work, new and simple nonaqueous zinc electrolyte developed investigated where secondary amine introduced as cosolvent. addition dimethylamine (DMA) cosolvent in THF facilitates solubilization Zinc (II) bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imde (Zn(TFSI) 2 ) results homogeneous with reversible plating achieved at high coulombic efficiencies. electrochemical properties effects salt concentrations are systematically investigated. It was found that increasing ratio DMA for Zn(TFSI) leads more facile kinetics, better ion solubilization, higher mobility evidenced by up significant increase conductivity well plating/stripping current densities. Increased concentration 2.0 M solvent mixture not only density conductivity, but also molar due redissociation mechanism. findings study relevant important further understand characterize from effective design strategy.
