چکیده
Many practical data-processing algorithms fail to execute efficiently on general-purpose CPUs (Central Processing Units) due the sequential matter of their operations and memory bandwidth limitations. To achieve desired performance levels, reconfigurable (FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array)-based) hardware accelerators are frequently explored that permit processing units’ architectures be better adapted specific problem/algorithm requirements. In particular, network-based very well suited implementation in because several data-independent can easily naturally executed parallel over as many blocks actually required technically possible. GPUs (Graphics have also demonstrated good results this area but they tend use significantly more power than FPGA, which could a limiting factor embedded applications. Moreover, employ Single Instruction, Multiple Threads (SIMT) execution model therefore optimized SIMD (Single Data) operations, while FPGAs fully custom datapaths built, eliminating much control overhead. This review paper aims analyze, compare, discuss different approaches implementing FPGA programmable SoC (Systems-on-Chip). The performed analysis derived recommendations would useful designers future accelerators.

Current VLSI technology allows the design of sophisticated digital systems with escalated demands in performance and power/energy consumption. The annual increase of chip complexity is 58%, while human designers productivity increase is limited to 21% per annum (ITRS, 2011). The growing technology-productivity gap is probably the most important problem in the industrial development of innovativ...

Modern SoCs make extensive use of specialized hardware accelerators to meet the demanding energy-efficiency requirements of demanding applications, such as computer graphics and video encoding/decoding. Unfortunately, the state of the art is a sea of heterogeneous fixed-function processing units wired together in an ad-hoc fashion, with dedicated memory spaces and a wide variety of host-acceler...

In this paper we discuss about tenacity and its properties in stability calculation. We indicate relationships between tenacity and connectivity, tenacity and binding number, tenacity and toughness. We also give good lower and upper bounds for tenacity. Since we are primarily interested in the case where disruption of the graph is caused by the removal of a vertex or vertices (and the resulting...
