چکیده
Background: Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a condition that affects the system of lower extremities rendering superficial, perforating, and deep veins incompetent. This results in hypertension causing various pathologies including pain, swelling, edema, skin changes ulcerations. Traditionally SFJ incompetence was viewed as primary pathology for varicose Trendelenburg’s surgery considered standard surgical procedure treatment veins. Later studies have shown incidence chronic superficial (CSVI) with competent seen many about 40% cases. Therefore, present study aims to identify CSVI SFJ, severity disease these individuals patient outcome response surgery. Methods: Prospective observational non-randomised purposive sampling. Results: Prevalence 40.54% CSVI. 56.7% patients had C4 disease, 26.7% C6 13.3% C5 3.3% C2 disease. In all patients, progression arrested after intervention no recurrence or ulceration by end 3 months. Conclusions: comparison CVI incompetent Competent vary there high male preponderance compared females, independent age gender. Surgical outcomes were comparable Trendelenburg can be used choice

Regarding "Venous valves and major superficial tributary veins near the saphenofemoral junction".
BACKGROUND Venous valves are still discussed controversially, mainly because it is still uncertain whether primarily missing or insufficient valves or the weakness of the venous walls cause varices. Furthermore, the distribution and frequencies of major superficial tributary veins (MSTVs), which should discharge the great saphenous vein (GSV) between the terminal (TV) and preterminal valve (PTV...
متن کاملvenoplasty and venous stenting in patients with chronic venous insufficiency in the lower extremities
background: venoplasty and stenting is a minimally invasive therapy that can be used for patients with deep venous insufficiency in the lower extremities. this study aimed at investigating the effect of venoplasty and venous stenting in patients with chronic venous insufficiency in the lower limbs. methods : this prospective case-series study recruited patients with chronic deep venous insuffic...
متن کاملAnatomical variations of saphenofemoral junction encountered during venous surgery
Objectives: The term, ‘varicose veins’ is used commonly to describe the enlargement and tortuosity of lower extremity veins. However varicose veins can occur elsewhere. The traditional surgical treatment has been vein stripping to remove the affected veins. In this article we aimed to present common anatomical variations of saphenofemoral junction encountered during surgical procedures in young...

This paper is freely available online under the BMJ Journals unlocked scheme, see http:// jnnp.bmj.com/info/unlocked.dtl ABSTRACT Background: The extracranial venous outflow routes in clinically defined multiple sclerosis (CDMS) have not previously been investigated. Methods: Sixty-five patients affected by CDMS, and 235 controls composed, respectively, of healthy subjects, healthy subjects old...
متن کاملLatent dystrophic subcutaneous calcification in patients with chronic venous insufficiency.
Dystrophic calcification in the skin occurs in association with a variety of disorders. To determine the association between subcutaneous calcification and chronic venous insufficiency, X-ray examinations were performed in 20 patients with chronic venous insufficiency and in 20 control subjects to detect latent calcification in their lower legs. Of the 20 patients, 13 (65%) had subcutaneous cal...
