A-star algorithm based on admissible searching for strategically placing PMU considering redundancy and cost/benefit analysis

This research examines an admissible search algorithm-dependent A-star strategy and takes into account redundancy cost/benefit analysis under normal operating conditions. The goal is to allocate a phasor measurement unit (PMU) for maximal observability of the interconnected power network. To determine fewest number PMU required make connected network totally observable using analysis, approach utilized. carried out in order appropriate placement, which results acquisition total reliability. put suggested technique through its paces, it has been tested on IEEE-standard test systems such as IEEE-14 bus, IEEE-30 New England-39 IEEE-57 IEEE-118 bus. obtained methodology are compared those standard literature research. experimental findings method revealed resilience accuracy algorithm well effectiveness achieving maximum
