چکیده
Ocean thermocline energy is a sustainable and reliable heat source for seawater desalination in remote islands that has no access to primary energy. To adapt the unique features of energy, i.e., sensible with small temperature gradient, we propose novel system combining direct-spray technology multi-effect distillation (MED). The steam generator conventional MED replaced by tubeless spray evaporator, which eliminates thermal resistance across transfer surface. merits this system, named spray-assisted (SMED), include reduced internal losses, higher productivity, smaller areas. quantify potential thermocline-driven SMED firstly conducted thermodynamic analysis. Comparing MED, boosts freshwater productivity 35%, while pumping power consumption required area are 58% 17%, respectively. Based on performances, economic assessed. demonstrates significant benefits due productivity. optimal cost $1.53/m3, 55% lower than under same operating conditions. originality novelty study can be summarized as follows: (a) maximizes utilization proposed; (b) detailed process model developed validated design optimization; (c) thermo-economic analysis maximize performance. derived results highlight potentials proposed making it competitive appealing solution desalination.

Automatic Generation of a Multi Agent System for Crisis Management by a Model Driven Approach
Considering the increasing occurrences of unexpected events and the need for pre-crisis planning in order to reduce risks and losses, modeling instant response environments is needed more than ever. Modeling may lead to more careful planning for crisis-response operations, such as team formation, task assignment, and doing the task by teams. A common challenge in this way is that the model shou...

A new absorption vapor compression distillation was proposed in present research. An open absorption heat transformer has a coupled thermally evaporator and absorber. Distillation of waste water with high content of SiO 2 from heavy oil production. The waste heat of 70 C can be elevated up to 125 C and generate steam of 120 C. The waste heat is able to drive four-effect distillation to produce ...
متن کاملAssisted entanglement distillation
Motivated by the problem of designing quantum repeaters, we study entanglement distillation between two parties, Alice and Bob, starting from a mixed state and with the help of “repeater” stations. To treat the case of a single repeater, we extend the notion of entanglement of assistance to arbitrary mixed tripartite states and exhibit a protocol, based on a random coding strategy, for extracti...

متن کاملGraphical Visualisation of Minimum Energy Requirements for Multi-Effect Distillation Arrangements
The minimum energy requirements of six different heat-integrated multi-effect and three non-integrated distillation arrangements for separating a ternary mixture have been considered. The focus of the paper is on a heat-integrated complex distillation configuration; called a multi-effect prefractionator arrangement. The comparison of the different arrangements is based on the minimum vapour flo...
