چکیده
This paper proposes a smart water grids network (SWGN) architecture that combines the advantages of fog computing, internet things (IoT), long range wide area (LoRaWAN), and Software-defined networking (SDN). The main aims SWG are to optimize data routing monitor supply quality in real-time. SWGN handles vast amount is collected by IoT devices from different points related quality. processed distributed way number servers located at edge network. controllers deployed layer order take action locally for frequent events. cloud has controller actions globally infrequent LoRaWAN provides communication technology allows operate regularly. SDN decouples traffic control decisions efficiently. A primitive evaluation under Mininet emulator, focusing on SDN, shows feasibility efficiency architecture.

Applying ICT devices to WDS makes it possible to introduce also the new concept of Smart WAter Network (SWAN), as a key Smart City subsystem, improving the traditional management of WDS. The possibility of inserting remote-controlled valves and flow meters in a WDS allows to divide a water network into k smaller subsystems, in order to improve the management and protection of WDS. This study pr...

متن کاملAdaptive water demand forecasting for near real-time management of smart water distribution systems
This paper presents a novel methodology to perform adaptive Water Demand Forecasting (WDF) for up to 24 hours ahead with the aim to support near real-time operational management of smart Water Distribution Systems (WDSs). The novel WDF methodology is exclusively based on the analysis of water demand time series (i.e., demand signals) and makes use of Evolutionary Artificial Neural Networks (EAN...
