چکیده
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms are becoming more widely applied in modification turbulence models. In this paper, with aim improving prediction accuracy Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) model, a semi-implicit treatment Reynolds stress anisotropy discrepancy model is developed using higher-order tensor basis. A deep neural network constructed and trained based on model. The parameters embedded computational fluid dynamics solver to modify original RANS Modification computations performed for two cases: one interpolation extrapolation different numbers. For these cases, ability modified capture anisotropic features has been improved. Moreover, when compared mean velocity large eddy simulations (LES), root square error significantly lower than Meanwhile, can better simulate flow field separation fluctuation shear layer reattachment point profile addition, also improves pressure coefficient friction underlying wall surface. previously directly computation massive periodic hill flows. It shown that results simulated by LES approach consistent both trend magnitude approach.

A Framework for Coupling Reynolds-Averaged With Large-Eddy Simulations for Gas Turbine Applications
Full-scale numerical prediction of the aerothermal flow in gas turbine engines are currently limited by high computational costs. The approach presented here intends the use of different specialized flow solvers based on the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations as well as large-eddy simulations for different parts of the flow domain, running simultaneously and exchanging information at the...
متن کاملAnti-Aliasing Filters for Coupled Reynolds-Averaged/Large-Eddy Simulations
The increasing complexity of engineering problems makes the coupling of multiple simulation codes attractive. In fluid mechanical applications, the physical range of flow phenomena that can be modeled can be extended significantly by coupling flow solvers based on the Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) approach and on LargeEddy Simulations (LES). These separate flow solvers run simultaneous...

متن کاملSteady-State Evaluation of 'Two-Equation' RANS (Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes) Turbulence Models for High-Reynolds Number Hydrodynamic Flow Simulations
This report presents an evaluation of the steady-state capability of the turbulence models available in the commercial CFD code FLUENT 6.0, for their application to the simulation of hydrofoil turbulent boundary layer separation at high-Reynolds numbers. Four widely applied two-equation RANS turbulence models were qualitatively and quantitatively assessed through comparison with high-quality ex...
متن کاملReynolds-Stress Model for Eulerian multiphase
This paper presents a way of modelling turbulence in multiphase flows within the context of the Reynolds-Stress Model. The model has been implemented in the general-purpose unstructured finite volume code Fluent V6. Two multiphase turbulence approaches were considered: mixture and dispersed models. The mixture model solves the Reynolds-stress transport equations on the mixture level only. The d...
