چکیده
Background Globally, tick-borne disease is a pervasive and worsening problem that impacts human domestic animal health, livelihoods, numerous economies. Species distribution models are useful tools to help address these issues, but many different modeling approaches environmental data sources exist. Objective We conducted scoping review examined all available research employing species predict occurrence map tick understand the diversity of model strategies, predictors, sources, frequency climate projects ranges, types validation methods. Design Following PRISMA-ScR checklist, we searched scientific databases for eligible articles, their references, explored related publications through graphical tool ( www.connectedpapers.com ). Two independent reviewers performed article selection characterization using priori criteria. Results describe collected from 107 peer-reviewed articles met our inclusion The literature reflects distributions have been modeled predominantly in North America Europe mostly habitat suitability Ixodes ricinus n = 23; 21.5%). A wide range bioclimatic other correlates were utilized among models, WorldClim database its variables 1–19 appeared 60 (56%) papers. most frequently chosen approach was MaxEnt, which also Despite importance ensemble reduce bias, only 23 papers (21.5%) employed more than one algorithm, just six (5.6%) used an incorporated at least five methods comparison. Area under curve/receiver operating characteristic reported method, nearly (98.9%) included studies. Only 21% future scenarios expansion or contraction. Regardless representative concentration pathway, seven genera expected both expand retract depending on location, while Ornithodoros predicted beyond current range. Conclusion techniques widely predicting movement. However, vast array methods, strategies within SDM support need standardized protocols ecological niche vectors.

A scoping review of rapid review methods
BACKGROUND Rapid reviews are a form of knowledge synthesis in which components of the systematic review process are simplified or omitted to produce information in a timely manner. Although numerous centers are conducting rapid reviews internationally, few studies have examined the methodological characteristics of rapid reviews. We aimed to examine articles, books, and reports that evaluated, ...
متن کاملSpecies Distribution Models and Ecological Suitability Analysis for Potential Tick Vectors of Lyme Disease in Mexico
Species distribution models were constructed for ten Ixodes species and Amblyomma cajennense for a region including Mexico and Texas. The model was based on a maximum entropy algorithm that used environmental layers to predict the relative probability of presence for each taxon. For Mexico, species geographic ranges were predicted by restricting the models to cells which have a higher probabili...
متن کاملBerberis vulgaris for cardiovascular disorders: a scoping literature review
Cardiovascular disorders are the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Berberis vulgaris (B. vulgaris) is a commonly used plant in traditional medicine. In recent studies, B. vulgaris showed antiarrhythmic, antihypertensive, anticholinergic, and cardioprotective effects. We reviewed the literature to explore the possible prophylactic and therapeutic roles of B. vulgaris in cardiovascular medici...
متن کاملMethods of Controlling Restless Legs Syndrome in Diabetic Patients: A Scoping Review Study
Introduction: ‘Restless Legs Syndrome’ is a sensory-motor disorder manifested by a tendency to move legs, usually accompanied by discomfort in the legs. Studies have shown that diabetics are more at risk for Restless Legs Syndrome than the general population. Therefore, a review study was designed to determine the methods of controlling restless legs syndrome in patients with diabetes. Methods:...
