چکیده
This paper reviews the application of various advanced anti-icing and de-icing technologies in transmission lines. Introduces influence snowing icing disasters on lines, including a mechanical overload steel towers, uneven or at different times, Ice-covered conductors galloping flashover insulators, as well lines around world recent years. The formation categories effect meteorological factors, topography, altitude, line direction, suspension height, shape, electric field ice-covered are all discussed this study. anti/de-icing their advantages disadvantages power summarized. traditional force, AC/DC short-circuit ice melting, corona is introduced. Torque pendulum diameter-expanded conductor (DEC) have remarkable effects, early investment resources less, cost low, later maintenance not needed. In view some deficiencies AC DC current transfer intelligent melting device (CTIIMD) can solve problem well. gadget has good high reliability for addition to being compact inexpensive. hydrophobic materials heating coatings insulators certain effect, but service life needs further research. Optimizing shed’s construction arranging several string kinds advisable prevent effect. building an insulator, only shed layout uses non-consumption energy.

De-icing/Anti-icing Techniques for Power Lines: Current Methods and Future Direction
Atmospheric icing may be problematic for many industries, including electric utilities. The combination of wind and ice could cause damages, sometimes leading to power outages. The January 1998 ice storm has led to the development of several de-icing methods destined to overhead power lines. These techniques are the subject of several technical reports and publications. Furthermore, in the past...
متن کاملAnti-icing superhydrophobic coatings.
We use nanoparticle-polymer composites to demonstrate the anti-icing capability of superhydrophobic surfaces and report direct experimental evidence that such surfaces are able to prevent ice formation upon impact of supercooled water both in laboratory conditions and in natural environments. We find that the anti-icing capability of these composites depends not only on their superhydrophobicit...

Evaluating Automated Anti-Icing Technology to Reduce Traffic Collisions Reducing fatalities, injuries, and property damage related to traffic collisions is a priority for road safety agencies. Traffic collisions result in more than 2,200 fatalities and 173,000 injuries each year on Canadian roads. Inclement weather is a contributing factor in traffic crashes for approximately 21 percent of the ...

In the present study, the effect of nano Al2O3 and nano graphene ceramic additives in optimizing performance and improving thermophysical properties of aircraft anti-icing/de-icing fluids was investigated. Nanoparticles were characterized by TEM, SEM and XRD methods. The thermal conductivity, surface tension and dynamic viscosity of the hybrid nanofluids were experimentally assessed for tempera...
متن کاملImage Recognition of Icing Thickness on Power Transmission Lines Based on a Least Squares Hough Transform
In view of the shortcomings of current image detection methods for icing thickness on power transmission lines, an image measuring method for icing thickness based on remote online monitoring was proposed. In this method, a Canny operator is used to get the image edge, in addition, a Hough transform and least squares are combined to solve the problems of traditional Hough transform in the param...
