This paper reviews Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites in Civil Engineering applications. Three FRP types are used Structural Engineering: profiles for new construction, rebars and strengthening systems. Basic materials (fibres resins), manufacturing processes material properties discussed. The focus of the is on all-FRP new-build structures their joints. All-FRP use pultruded profiles. Their connections joints bolting, bonding or a combination both. For plate-to-pate connections, effects geometry, fibre direction, type rate loading, bolt torque hole clearance, washers failure modes strength reviewed. beam-columns also divided into five categories: web cleated, flange high strength, plate bolted box profile effect both static cyclic loading studied. joints’
