A review of compressed air energy systems in vehicle transport

Emission free compressed air powered energy system can be used as the main power source or an auxiliary unit in vehicular transportation with advantages of zero carbon emissions and improved overall efficiency integrated system. This work presented a detailed technological development compressed-air systems. The studies on powertrain transport sector are summarised including design new valve technologies, prototype developments, integration Furthermore, based hybrid technologies using different pneumatic hybridisation methods comprehensively aiming to provide in-depth insight limitations hybridisation. opportunities challenges for technology application discussed. It expected transformation systems cleaner more sustainable future would promote implementation Zero-Emission solutions. • A comprehensive review vehicle application.
