A Retrospective Clinical Evaluation Of Narrow Diameter Implant Supported Dental Prosthesis: Early Results

Background: Narrow-diameter implants are planned for specific clinical conditions as locator between adjacent teeth with a narrow bone width or only area in between. They especially advantageous when restoring like lateral maxillary and mandibular incisors first premolars.
 Methods: In the period 2018 2019, 21 patients were rehabilitated implant treatment. A total of 32 placed (The Straumann® Bone Level Tapered Implants, ∅ 2.9 mm). The survival rates analyzed prosthetic complications evaluated.
 Results: accumulative 36-month rate was 96.9%. Prosthetic mainly limited to loosening occlusal screws. No abutment fractures, screw porcelain chipping observed.
 Conclusion: results show that provide satisfactory treatment outcomes. Narrow can be preferred cases, where dental operation is not wide enough.
