A research trajectory for difficult times: decentring language and intercultural communication

چکیده
This study investigates how critical intercultural pedagogy, creative arts methods, inspired by new materialism, can support forms of language and learning in contexts conflict. Columbian university scholarship recipients pre-service English education from disadvantaged backgrounds, co-research alongside the researcher/educator to develop drama games for directed at teachers learners students' home communities. The transformative, collaborative research approach, drawing on pedagogy ‘Theatre Oppressed’, aims decentre communication education, promote a social activist stance among students face local global uncertainties.
