A rare case of median nerve intraneural hematoma after stenting of right iliac artery

چکیده
Aim: Brachial artery access is an alternative approach to endovascular interventions when the femoral, radial, or ulnar arteries not feasible, but it carries higher risk of periprocedural complications than other approaches, including median nerve injury. Nerve injuries can occur by direct puncture compression, with hematoma being most common cause. Sometimes compartment syndrome accompany injury, masking signs a dysfunction. Case report: We present patient false aneurysm brachial artery, surrounding soft tissue volar arm and forearm simultaneous intraneural caused punction. The combination occurred after for treatment bilateral iliac steno-occlusive disease. was successfully treated fasciotomy, arterial sutures, decompression via paraneuriotomy. Conclusions: Intraneural be masked concomitant syndrome. Emphasis should put on prevention, early recognition, timely surgical hematomas, especially those accompanied fascial interventions.

A Rare Case of Intraneural Neurothekeoma of Median Nerve Mimicking Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Introduction Neurothekeomas are uncommon benign soft tissue tumors of the peripheral nerves. It is commonly found in the upper extremities and in the head and the neck region as a small, asymptomatic, and superficial nodule. Case Report We report a rare case of intraneural neurothekeoma (2.8 χ 2.4 x 1.8 cm) of the median nerve at the wrist in a 56-year-old female, which presented with clinica...
متن کاملIntraneural hemangioma of the median nerve: A case report
Hemangiomas of the median nerve are very rare and, so far, only ten cases of intraneural hemangioma of this nerve have been reported in the literature. We present a case of 14-year-old girl who had a soft tissue mass in the region of the left wrist with signs and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Total removal of the mass was achieved using microsurgical epineural and interfasicular dissectio...
متن کاملLateral abdominal wall hematoma as a rare complication after carotid artery stenting: a case report
Abdominal wall hematoma is a rare and life-threatening complication after carotid artery stenting (CAS), but it can occur when activated clotting time is prolonged. We report a right lateral abdominal wall hematoma caused by rupture of the superficial circumflex iliac artery after CAS in a 72-year-old man with severe stenosis of the origin of the right internal carotid artery. We performed CAS ...
متن کاملA Rare Variation in Branching Pattern of the Internal Iliac Artery: A Case Report
Internal iliac artery (IIA) shows frequent variations in its branching pattern. We saw variations in the branching pattern of right IIA in a male cadaver. The IIA divided into anterior and posterior divisions. The branches of the anterior division included umbilical artery, inferior vesical artery, obturator artery. The other branches arose from posterior trunk such as iliolumbar, lateral s...
متن کاملA Rare Bilateral Variation in the Formation of Median Nerve
The median nerve is formed by fusion of lateral (C5-C7) and medial (C8, T1) cords from the brachial plexus. Bilateral variations in the formation of median nerve are very rare. One of such variations was observed during the dissection of the upper limb of approximately a 30-35-year-old man cadaver, according to Grant s method. The median nerve was formed by the union of three roots on both side...
