A novel HPTLC analytical technique and validation study were developed to determine the concentration of ximenynic acid (XMA) in semisolid dosage formulations (SDF) such as cream, gel, lotion, etc. The procedure makes use reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). This presents first report sensitive, selective, precise robust method, which has been validated for quantification XMA from pharmaceutical formulation. chromatographic development was carried out on plates precoated with silica gel 60 F254 using a mixture Toluene: Ethyl Acetate: Methanol: Formic (5:4:0.5:0.5 v/v/v/v) mobile phase. Detection densitometrically at 254 nm. Rf value found about 0.3 ± 0.01. method per ICH guideline respect linearity, accuracy, precision, robustness is new, simple economic routine estimation bulk, preformulation studies formulation help industries well researchers their sensitive determination rapidly low cost analysis.
