A prospective study on abnormal uterine bleeding with sonological and histopathological correlation in women attending tertiary care hospital

Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common problem among women in the reproductive age group, with reported prevalence India being 17.9%, AUB has substantial effect on health-related quality of life and morbidity related if requiring surgeries. The objective this study was to evaluate various histopathological features endometrial curetting co-relate them transvaginal ultrasonographic findings.Methods: consisted 500 cases who presented Department Obstetrics Gynaecology complaints abnormal bleeding. Relevant history elicited from all clinical examination done. All underwent biopsy followed by ultrasonography before surgery results were compared specimen.Results: 16.7% patients diagnosed had severe anemia transfusion blood. 4.2% subjects nulliparous. 59.7% an thickness ranging 10mm 14.9 mm study. Endometrial carcinoma accounted for 1.4% population. Normal USG findings seen 18.1% patients.Conclusions: In conclusion, significant association found between ultrasound findings.
