چکیده
Objectives: The present study compares the clinicopathological features and outcomes of two cystic stump closure techniques (locking clips intra-corporeal ligation with silk sutures) during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: This was conducted in a tertiary health centre as prospective observational between October 5, 2021, February 15, 2022. For randomisation, double rows sutures were used to close patients on odd-numbered day month (Group 1). In contrast, single-row locking clip (Hem-o-Lok®) 2) even-numbered month. terminated when at least 50 reached both groups. differences cholecystectomy compared Results: included 114 patients. Of cohort, 87 (76.3%) female, mean age 46.54 ± 14.74 years. There 64 (56.1%) Group 1 (43.9%) 2. Preoperative ERCP requirement higher (15.6% vs 4%, p = 0.045), while operation room time longer 2 (p 0.015). Morbidity rates similar groups (3.1% 2%) > 0.05). Conclusions: Cystic is essential step According study’s results, (intra-corporeal ligation) are materials that can be safely stump.

The usefulness and safety of Hem-o-lok clips for the closure of appendicular stump during laparoscopic appendectomy
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety and usefulness of the Hem-o-lok clip for the closure of appendicular stumps and limitations of the Hem-o-lok clip. METHODS From May 2010 to August 2011, 105 consecutive patients underwent laparoscopic appendectomies by three surgeons. XL size Hem-o-lok clips were used for the closure of appendicular stumps by one surgeon. The rem...
متن کاملExtra Corporeal Knotting with Silk versus Liga Clips for Ligating Cystic Duct in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: a Comparative Study
Introduction Cholecystectomy is the common operation of the biliary tract. During cholecystectomy cystic duct can be secured with the sutures or clips. Knot tying in open surgery can be easily be learned and performed. However, knot tying becomes challenging and frustrating when performed laparoscopically. In laparoscopy there is lack of direct manual contact with tissue, therefore the sense of...
متن کاملHem-o-Lok Clip in the First Part of Duodenum after Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) have become the standard surgical procedure for cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis. During the operation, cystic duct and vessels are usually controlled by Hem-o-Lok clips. We report a case with a complaint of severe abdominal pain for the previous 20 days. Her medical history was unremarkable except for laparos...
متن کاملSIMPLE LIGATION VERSUS STUMP INVAGINATION DURING APPENDICECTOMY-A PROSPECTIVE TRIAL
A prospective, randomized trial on 416 consecutive cases of appendicectomies was carried out in which half of the cases had simple ligation of the stump and the rest had invagination of the stump in addition. The two groups were matched for age, sex, state of personal hygiene and nutrition. The incidence of wound infection, and early and late post-operative complications remained comparabl...
متن کاملHem-o-lok Clips Migration: An Easily Neglected Complication after Laparoscopic Biliary Surgery
Clip migration into the common bile duct (CBD) is a rare but well-established phenomenon of laparoscopic biliary surgery. The mechanism and exact incidence of clip migration are both poorly understood. Clip migration into the common bile duct can cause recurrent cholangitis and serve as a nidus for stone formation. We present a case, a 54-year-old woman, of clip-induced cholangitis resulting fr...
