A Preliminary Study and Characterization of Nasir Abad Hunza Marble Deposit Gilgit Baltistan

Marble is widely used in construction industry mainly interior & exterior design of buildings due to its resilient physical, chemical mechanical properties. The diverse geology Gilgit Baltistan has naturally endowed this region with different varieties marble deposits. These deposits need proper characterization ensure their use the industry. This research aims conduct a preliminary study for Nasir Abad Hunza deposit. Samples from said deposit were subjected tests chemical, physical and Results XRF analysis reveal that under dolomitic. comparison properties standard values confirms originality. However, high variation strength core samples was observed, which could result incomplete crystallization by metamorphism. suggests strength-based definitions domains propose each domain separately.
