چکیده

Surgical treatment of aortic and peripheral graft infections their prevention in case systemic infection requires the employment autologous material. If not available, other biological substitutes have been proposed. Among those, prefabricated bovine pericardium grafts (pBPGs) recently become commercially available for aorto-iliac reconstructions. Available literature on these prostheses is scarce. We evaluated short-term outcomes pBPGs infra-inguinal reconstructions management infections. A multicenter retrospective analysis all patients submitted to (Group 1) artery 2) revascularization with BPGs from August 2019 October 2022 was performed. Primary patency, freedom reinfection, mortality, complication rates, reinterventions were analyzed. Follow-up performed by clinical ultrasonographic evaluation at discharge, 6 months, yearly thereafter. Thirty-six included study, 23 (64%) group 1 (G1) 13 (36%) 2 (G2). The median age 73 years (interquartile range, 67.5-76.5 years). Patients predominantly males (83%). Combined percutaneous endovascular iliac angioplasty and infrainguinal surgical revascularization for chronic lower extremity ischemia: preliminary result.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of combined ipsilateral percutaneous iliac angioplasty and open infrainguinal surgical techniques for the treatment of patients with multilevel arterial occlusive disease. Combining two types of approaches in the peripheral vascular field is a less aggressive technique and may result in excellent early patency and limb salvage rates. We rep...

Concomitant Celiac, Superior Mesenteric, Renal, and Aorto-bi-iliac Aneurysms

Visceral artery aneurysms are rarely reported. They can occur in the context of a variety of underlying diseases. These aneurysms may coexist with non-visceral arterial aneurysms. Here we describe an 80-year-old man with concomitant superior mesenteric, celiac, renal, and aorto-bi-iliac aneurysms. The patient was a hypertensive and hyperlipidemic old man with history of transient ischemic attack...

Endovascular stent-graft procedures in aorto-iliac pathologies: a single center experience

Methods 117 endovascular stent-graft procedures in 113 patients for thoracic, abdominal and iliac pathologies was performed at our institute between January 2009-April 2013. 94(83.1%) patients were male. Indications for endovascular interventions were as follows; 58 for abdominal aortic aneursym, 14 for descending aortic aneursym, 4 for both descending and abdominal aortic aneursyms, 2 for thor...
