چکیده
Abstract Linear plasma devices represent an essential tool for nuclear fusion research, whereby understanding crucial aspects related to plasma-wall interactions or edge behaviour. Simplified models are of great importance complement and integrate experimental simulation results complex systems such as plasmas in linear machines, because they fast simple employ. In this work, we present a global volume-averaged (0D) model investigation machines. The 0D equations based on the space integration state art implemented SOLPS-ITER code. Comparisons between helium described with 2D simulations performed highlight that contributions often neglected tokamak models, e.g. electron-neutral excitation, may be relevant when describing weakly ionized devices. is used perform sensitivity studies respect several parameters analyse time evolution system, leading identification two scales governing system. Lastly, comparison data from device GyM performed, showing satisfactory agreement. Our methods provide interpretative keys physics plasmas.

Simulation of a Helium Atmospheric Plasma Jet Using Fluid Equations
In this study, a cold atmospheric He plasma jet is investigated. The jet is of dielectric barrier discharge type, consisting of a dielectric tube with two metal ring electrodes. The continuity, momentum and energy conservation equations as well as the Poisson equation for obtaining the potential and the electric field, accompanied with the ideal gas laws, are used for the simulation. The result...

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

In this paper we summarize the results of the modelling, analyses and assessment of the ITER Vertical Stabilization (VS) system design carried out in the last two years by the ITER IO and Domestic Agencies as well as its possible improvements: these include the use of an additional VS system connecting some of the Central Solenoid coils, a power supply upgrade from 6 kV to 9kV, the use of passi...
متن کاملMy advice to ITER-Driven Plasma Physics
Comparing the device of ITER with ICF, I strongly notice that I have an advice to ITER Driven Plasma Physics. I used to study laser-plasma interaction which relates to a strong spontaneous magnetic field (in axial or in azimuthal direction) and found a new particle acceleration named laser-magnetic resonance acceleration (LMRA). The electron acceleration depends not only on the electromagnetic ...
متن کاملDamage studies on irradiated tungsten by helium and argon ions in a plasma focus device
Damage of tungsten due to helium and argon ions of a PF device was studied. Tungsten samples were irradiated by 20 shots of the plasma focus device with argon and helium as working gases, separately. The tungsten surface was analyzed by SEM, before and after irradiation. SEM revealed dense blisters with diameters of a few hundred nanometers, on the samples which were irradiated by helium ions, ...
