چکیده

The objective of this study was to improve the mineralization metronidazole, a recalcitrant antibiotic by development new combined process coupling electro-Fenton and biological process. For biotreatment, various strategies were considered bioaugmentation, bioacclimatation biostimulation alone or combined. So, novelty strategy is combine advanced oxidation with conventional biotreatment activated sludge after 120 h culture, led 58.1% mineralization, whereas pure isolated strains, from culture in presence metronidazole by-products, identified as Pseudomonas putida (strain A) Achromobacter sp. B), 37.2% 40.1% respectively. After original acclimation strains electrolysis levels reached 75.6% 72.9% for A B respectively culture. results showed that by-products most important case combination autochthonous bioaugmentation biostimulation, 96.1% treatment. By two processes, global treatment therefore yield 97% reduction processing time 16 days compared previous

Ibuprofen Removal from a Pharmaceutical Wastewater using Electro-Fenton Process: An Efficient Technique (RESEARCH NOTE)

The aim of this research was to evaluate the effective parameters such as pH, current density (mA/cm2), H2O2/Fe2+ molar ratio, volume ratio of H2O2 to pharmaceutical wastewater (PhW) (ml/l) and reaction time (min) on the electro-Fenton process for the ibuprofen (as a pharmaceutical waste in water) removal. Since a synthetic wastewater with the same concentration of ibuprofen in a real pharmaceu...

Application of the Electro-Fenton Process Including Fe+2 and Fe+3 Heterogeneous Catalysts to Remove Ciprofloxacin from Aqueous Solutions

Background and Objectives: Ciprofloxacin is an emerging and degradable pollutant that cannot be efficiently removed by common water and wastewater treatment processes. Electro-Fenton process is one of the most effective processes for the treatment of these compounds. Hence, the present study aimed to remove ciprofloxacin by Electro-Fenton method with heterogeneous catalysts, Fe+2 and Fe+3. Mat...

Coupling a branching process to an infinite dimensional epidemic process

Branching process approximation to the initial stages of an epidemic process has been used since the 1950’s as a technique for providing stochastic counterparts to deterministic epidemic threshold theorems. One way of describing the approximation is to construct both branching and epidemic processes on the same probability space, in such a way that their paths coincide for as long as possible. ...

A novel electro-fenton process for water treatment: reaction-controlled pH adjustment and performance assessment.

A novel electro-Fenton (E-Fenton) process was developed, in which the desired pH for an effective E-Fenton reaction and for a neutral treated media could be obtained by utilizing the reaction-released H+ and OH- in stead of chemical addition. In the laboratory-scale process using three chambers, the substrate solution pH > 4.0 was designed to be adjusted in situ through three sequencing steps: ...
