Some positive displacement (PD) compressors are equipped with automatic discharge valves such as reed that open automatically whenever the cavity pressure is slightly larger than outlet to deal effectively varying ratio applications. Screw today do not have valves, resulting in off-design conditions known under-compression or over-compression when at deviating from pressure. Compressor efficiency suffers and pulsation/noise becomes worse under these conditions. type of controls desired a pulsation dampener variable volume (often called Vi) slide valve design lessen cure mismatch problems. Injecting gas vapor into screw compressor during internal compression phase has been be beneficial enhancing performance widely used HVAC&R industry Economizer. However, underlining principle Economizer thus far explored for optimizing schemes general. This paper introduces self-sensing self-correcting process can “derived deduced” Perfect Gas Law by multiple criteria efficiency, abatement, cost footprint reduction operating over wide range pressures. The scheme, SECAPT (Shunt Enhanced Compression And Pulsation Trap), then investigated optimized numerically new CFD code one industrial case: bulk truck loading application where varies no rise maximum load. numerical simulations illustrate tentatively capable achieving targets theorized.
