A Novel Dynamic Transmission Power of Cluster Heads Based Clustering Scheme

Clustering methods are promising tools for ensuring the network scalability and maintainability of large-scale flying ad hoc networks (FANETs). However, due to high mobility limited energy resources unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), it is difficult maintain reliability extend life FANETs. In this paper, a new K-means algorithm developed, dynamic transmission power cluster heads based clustering (DTPCH-C) scheme proposed. The goal presented FANETs improve lifetime Firstly, optimal number clusters calculated initial UAV set up by algorithm. Then, using weighted algorithm, adaptive node degree, distance from head summed election. process inter-cluster communication, adjusts its transmit in real-time through meshing mobile prediction, thus saving consumption improving lifetime. proposed DTPCH-C simultaneously optimizes number, consumption, selected head, maintenance process. simulation results show that compared with traditional methods, has obvious advantages terms reliability, life, consumption.
