A Novel Bi2O3 Modified C-doped Hollow TiO2 Sphere Based on Glucose-derived Carbon Sphere with Enhanced Visible Light Photocatalytic Activity

The hydrothermal method was used to synthesize carbon sphere, and the hard template synthesis prepared C-doped hollow TiO2 sphere (CHTS). Bismuth nitrate as bismuth source modify CHTS. composite material oxidized in air atmosphere at 450℃ obtain Bi2O3 modified spheres(BCHTS). morphology, elemental composition photocatalytic degradation efficiency of tetracyclines (TC) by BCHTS spheres were characterized various measurements. Additionally, possible transformation pathways mechanism tetracycline revealed via LC–MS trapping experiments. experimental results show that Bi nanoparticles are uniformly dispersed photocatalyst exhibits enhanced rate TC (98.4% under visible-light within 180 min 99.4% natural light 50 min) for its structure narrow bandgap (2.87 eV). After five cycles, still remains high removal 96.4% TC. indicate may be promising degrading antibiotic residuals remains.
